Experience
05/2023 – Present
Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Copenhagen (DK)
Stochastic Thermodynamics group at the Niels Bohr International Academy with Prof. Karel Proesmans.
The first two years of my appointment I was funded by the European Commission through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship for the project "Stochastic thermodynamics of biochemical replication" (ID 101104602) with an individual score of more than 96%.
After the fellowship, I was appointed as a regular postdoctoral fellow at the Niels Bohr International Academy's Physics of Life section, and later at the Niels Bohr Institute's BioComplexity section.

Education
2018 – 2021
Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, KU Leuven (BE)
Thesis on the theoretical development of the BLUES function method, as well as hierarchical deposition models, in the group of Prof. Dr. Joseph O. Indekeu.

I completed my PhD in a little under 3 years, where the typical duration is 4-5 years in Belgium.
2016 – 2018
M.Sc. in Physics, KU Leuven (BE)
Majored in Theoretical Physics and minored in applied mathematics. Graduated Cum Laude.
2013 – 2016
B.Sc. in Physics, Hasselt University (BE)
Majored in Theoretical Physics.
